Friday Night Chat
OK. Listen up.
I've set up an account on a free chat site. I've checked it out, and it seems clean; no spyware or other malicious code, no bombardment with advertising or popups, and you do not have to install any software on your computer to make it work. It is all done through your web browser.
I just tested it with another TS mod, and it worked great. Not sure how well it will work with a whole bunch of people online, but we won't know until we try; will we?
Friday night at 8:00pm Eastern Time, I am going to post a link on this thread. Simply click on the link to go to the chat room. All you will have to do is enter your TS username, and choose the color you want your text to appear in. You will not be asked to enter any personal info; not even your email address. Then click "Join Chat" at the bottom of the page.
See You Friday!

Re: Friday Night Chat
CB...!!
Great idea, but could you make that one or two hours earlier, please..?
I know I'm a minority but now it means it's 2:00 in the night in The Netherlands...
If it isn't possible, I understand..!!
Just a question, no harm in asking, is there..?

Re: Friday Night Chat
Well, here's the thing.
8:00pm on the east coast of the US means 5:00pm on the west coast. At 5:00pm people are still getting home from work, and having dinner. If I push it up 2 hours, that means 3:00pm for the west coasters, and that is way too early.
Unfortunately, this is going to be one of those things that it will be impossible to please everyone, so I'm going to start with the 8:00pm east coast US time as planned. This could run several hours, so who knows?

That's just what I didn't think of..! 3 hours of time difference from one coast to the other...
This is a great explanation, CB..! Thank you very much, please know that I understand the motivation, I'll just stay up late... Won't be the first time, surely not the last time either..!!
Thanks again, it's perfectly clear..!

Yeah, well, the USA is just a little bit bigger than The Netherlands.

I tried it using my TS user name, hndymn. It requires a password. It won't accept my login password for TS.
