What kind of sausage...your own recipe of spices...I think im gonna have to start a week long trek next year and try and hit everyones house in the days before, during and after thanksgiving
We hit the relatives' (all of them ) houses for Turkey Day, so you wouldn't be too happy here. But come tailgating with us, or to a good cochon de lait and you'll need your fat pants. Crabs are running big right now, so I may do up a good boil this weekend. Man can only eat so much turkey...

Turkey number one just came out of the smoker. Brined, rubbed, hickory smoked, and basted with butter and maple syrup. I wish I could post smells on the board.

Venison sausage. I dont have a recipe for it, yet... but my future ex-brother in law does. He hunts and kills more deer than anyone else I know... bow, rifle, muzzleloader.. and he hunts at least in Vermont and New Hampshire. If there was a spear hunting season he'd do that too.
Hmm... we missed out on a lobster fest this summer... guess we'll have to make a venison and lobster weekend before it gets too cold. Cooked on a open fire. Throw in some deer heart as a appetizer...
VT is a long ways away from CO, I average about 3-4 days to get out that ways, so you better make that trek into a 2 weeker.
Ok, the main feast is about to begin... have a great turkey day!
