Default I Was Thinking

I know, thinking can be a dangerous thing.

As some are aware, once the weather gets a little warmer, I am planning on doing some mods to my Tundra, one of which will be the addition of a CB (which may eventually give way to a HAM unit). The idea of mounting it has been one which left me scratching my head. I think my current one would fit in the long hidden compartment next to the shifter, but then I would need someplace to mount a speaker. It dawned on me that the cupholder is removable, so I got to thinking.... If I were to track down the removable portion (the cupholders) and purchase it, it appears I could cut it wide enough to fit a front speaker CB, yet retain my cupholders. If, heaven forbid, I get rid of the Tundra later, I can pop the original back in and be in good shape. The only question is where to begin looking for one.

Thoughts? Opinions? I know this may be more appropriately located in another area, but I don't know which, so since my home seems to be here in OT, I thought what the heck...

Yes, that is a tad steep! I may need to make some calls to local wrecking yards. Although if push comes to shove, I would part with the 70 bucks or so to have one.
