The government just passed a bill that stopped the sale of all youth off road vehicles and their replacement parts because some of the parts (battery terminals, engine cases, brakes, etc) contain lead. This stuff needs to be thrown in the garbage and set on fire. Would have given a lot of heat to the homeless people that would've gone otherwise wasted in the shredders.
Congress doesn't know what is best for our children. Its not like they're going to be getting high on leaded gasoline (which hasn't been sold for years and years except on the farms!)
I wonder how come they haven't started metering how much junk food kids eat or how much time is wasted on video games instead of physical exercise? Oops, better keep my mouth shut b4 they install cameras in ppls homes doing so.

That's probably because they are too hard. Try getting them to chew on the lead battery terminals - they are much softer, and therefore more enjoyable.
Please sign the petition guys. This affects a lot of people and and really pisses me of as I sell youth atv's and bikes, and I started riding and racing at the age of 3. I know that the big four are working on getting some stuff moving to have the law changed, but it's gonna take some time and signatures

Unreal! I believe the government should be focussing on something slightly more important like our economy.
I'd like to see the government take some responsibility for the economic downturn we are in. After all, Congress did pass legislation which reduced the oversight in the mortgage industry.
On another note, Congress is old and out of step with younger Americans. In Congress, old is in - Politics- msnbc.com With the average age of senators being 60 they still reminisce of the times they spent chewing lead paint chips and battery terminals.
