I got this car off my great uncle back in 02 or 03, with 38,000mi on it.
I drove it on Sunday rides until the end of last year, now with 51,600mi.
This is when I gave it to my 17yr old daughter. I looked the value up on kbb.com and found it to be very low, $2,500 on a good day. It kills me to see it out in the salt, but I couldn't find her a safe and mechanically sound car like this for $2,500. She is a great little driver and claims she is going to put another 150,000mi on it. She loves this car.
People where I work say it is too nice for a teenager. I tell them "She's my baby girl and deserves it"
What do you think?
here are some pics I have more in my album

I think it is a good choice. The caddy is never going to be worth much and it is solid. Glad to see you have a girl who appreciate things. Mine is the same way.
She is a great kid. Your right the car will never be worth anything - money. It is to her though.
I forgot to mention earlier that my great uncle's delivery date of this car was on my daughters exact birth date (month, day, and year). So she feels a connection to it (destiny).

TundraToy, I agree with the others. As long as she's comfortable driving it, can see over the steering wheel and is responsible (and she sounds like she is) I'd say you've made a excellent choice.
Our daughters sound the same. When our's turned 17, we gave her the Mrs. old 1983 Volvo 240DL. Talk about a boat, not in size but weight. This car was about as safe as your Caddy. She drove that thing till it had darn near 300K miles.....she got it used of course from us also but no where as clean as your Caddy.
Congrats to your daughter and may she enjoy countless miles.....
BTW, I see the hood open on your truck. What gives? Just checking the oil?

Very Nice. Especially for a first car. Mine was a VW bug that had no brakes, broke down every 50 miles and was 7 different colors.
All she needs now is some Yukon Suspension and 30 inch wheels
