Yikes ... By mistake, a 6 y/o boy got in an experimental helium balloon and released the rope and took off to 7,000 feet in the Denver area.
This experimental balloon looks very different ... it looks like a giant (flying saucer) silver looking mushroom.
They are trying to chase the ballon now. This is surreal. ...
USAF is trying to help ... and 9 News in Denver is tracking it at the moment.

i just heard on the radio that the balloon landed in a field but their was no little boy to be found.
I heard that too. They are searching the fields, assuming he fell out. That would be very sad if that is indeed the case. Gotta wonder about the dad, EVER allowing his kids near this thing. That thing should've been chained and locked if kids were near it, no excuse, just bad parenting.

This family is some bozo family that was on the show Wife Swap..... TWICE!!! If you ask me, the family is attention hungry and needed to get on TV again, I hope this isn't the case, but I have my doubts.

After seeing the family in their TV interview last night ... I agree they were a bit unusualy in several ways. ...
IMO ... they were/are "attention hungry" ... and a few things did not make sense.
At times, it actually seemed like the dad was doing a bit of a commercial for his "balloon invention to transport people" with it's million volt outer shell.
I am not a space ship design engineer, but his theory on flight did not seem possible with backyard engineering.
The authorities and the news media will be all over this one and we will probably hear more on this later. ...
