I don't recall the username, but there used to be a member here who completely rebadged his white Tundra with Lexus emblems. Very professionally done, not tacky at all. He replaced the Toyota emblem in the center of the grill with the Lexus "L", along with the tailgate and doors. I think he even did the center caps on the rims. He re-badged it as a Lexus LX470, I think. He used to comment on how it got alot of attention on the road, as people obviously thought that Lexus had come out with a pickup based on the Tundra.
Maybe someone will post his username and his pics might still be here, if they weren't lost after the big site crash we had here a couple of years ago.
By the time I am done with all of my mods, I will have a $50,000 Toyota truck. I am not sure I need a $60,000 Lexus truck, but it would be nice, and would go real well with my wife's Lexus.
Anyone think that this idea would fly. I mean they have a Cadillac pickup and a Lincoln pickup coming soon.
Anyone think that a crew cab Tundra based Lexus pickup might work?
Why not offer full time four wheel drive like the Land Cruiser and Lx470 and make a real nice luxury pick up.
Put a nicer, plusher interior with a navigation system and every option that Lexus has a make a nice truck.
There is a pic here I have seen of a Tundra with a billit grill and the Lexus "L" logo. I'm sure when people see that truck they think Lexus already makes one.
