Default Bad day of golfing

I just went golfing for the first time on a golf course today and did better than I thought I would, except for one small thing. I have a Callaway Big Bertha driver and with the first swing on hole 1 the head of my driver goes flying about 80 yards. It was my dad's driver before, but I don't think it is too old. I'm not sure if I should get it fixed or buy another driver. Has anybody else had a driver repaired? Did it still perform the same as before? About how much should this cost to fix. Thanks for the help.

basmith - Never had to replace a head. I think it depends on where it broke. It the shaft broke, then you can replace the shaft, if a part of the head broke, I think you're SOL.
In regards to purchasing a Driver, I wouldn't buy one. I have used my driver maybe 4 times in the past 3 or 4 years. I always tee off with my 3 wood. I have a slow swing (and a terrible slice) so my 3 wood is better for me. It's heavier than a driver so my ball tends to go further, and straighter. This just works for me though, it's probably different for everyone. Also remember, a bad day on the course, is better than any day at work ENJOY!

DOH!

Callaway should replace the club for free. Find your closest Callaway dealer and take it there. They should hook you up.
