Default Just ordered myself a new moneypit...

Well I just couldn't resist, so I had to pay a visit to the dealer and order myself one of these.

Did you get it with the rear ironing board?

Ironing board? I thought that flipped vertical and formed a mast for the sail that attaches to it...

Nice car, just not big on spoilers on anything except where they serve a true purpose like on F1 or Midget race cars.

I give you a lot of credit and respect for getting one of the Mitsubishi's that have high ratings and hold up. I would NOT buy the Raider pickup because it is nothing more then a retooled and re-shelled Dodge Dakota.

PS: I'm not knocking your new car, I think it's pretty cool.
It just reminded me of the wing I had on my '71 Judge clone
A buddy tagged it as an ironing board and it stuck

Yeah the "ironing board" is not the most attractive thing in the world, but man this thing screams and sticks to the road like superglue I will be taking the wing off and filling the holes in the trunklid. I wanted the 6-speed, so I had to settle for the wing.

I know how a lot of people feel about sport compact imports - I don't really like the image that typically is connected with them, but this car to me is a big exception... besides, it's usually price-wise out of reach for most "kids".

To me the evo is the best compromise between a practical 4 door and a fun weekend track car, plus it has a 10year/100k powertrain warranty.

I agree about everything else that mitsubishi makes. IMHO this car really is the only mitsu I'd ever consider. I kind of feel awkward admitting that I bought a car primarily for performance and secondarily for looks. I do think that if most people took a ride in this thing, they'd understand why I wanted it.

Don't worry about buying the Mitsu. The 4G63 (the 2.0 liter motor that the Evo. has) is a bullet proof motor!! All of the eagle talons, plymouth lasers, and Mitsubishi eclipses thoughout the 90s all had the same parts including the solid motor. My buddy has a 1990 eagle talon. Everything on that car sucks, but it hauls a$$!!! That motor will handle plenty of boost if you plan on modding it any. You ordered a beautiful car. I'm am incredibly jealous! I hope that you enjoy it.......and if I ever see you on the road.....may I have a ride? Pleeeeeease?????!!!!!!
