Thumbs up World Cup 2006

Just curious how many soccer fans belong to TS and are watching the world cup action!! Can't wait for USA's first match Monday, still can't believe there world ranking is 5...I would love to see them go to the end.

I'll be routing for both Portugal and USA in this world cup!

Bad showing for USA. I kinda expected a little more and they had it all for today against ghana. I guess the africans wanted it more.

Mexico isn't too far behind on the bad showing. They barely squeeked by! Now they have a tough one against Argentina.

I was pulling for either US or Mexico but I guess now I have to hang on to Mexico.

Realistically though...............Spain, Brazil, and Germany look dominating. If I had to pick......I'd go with Spain.

All in all, the U.S. team deserved to lose the first round. But...........Not to bad mouth the sport too much, I watched the U.S. game vs. Italy. How can anyone argue that either the refs. don't like the U.S., they got paid off, or they are simply the most stupid morons on the planet? That was the most ridiculous excuse for a game I ever saw. That 1 game affected the whole group standings, then left the U.S. team exhausted and without 2 players for the Ghana game. You ain't gonna win over U.S. fans when a game is called so poorly, but I guess that may be the plan. That's jmo. /Mike
