Question Best 'Western' movie ever made?

How about some opinions on this???

Personally, "Unforgiven" gets my vote as the best Western movie ever made.

Silverado...not the typical western cast, but still my alltime favorite

What kinda western are we talking about? Does "The Alamo" count ? I'd have a hard time choosing from any other John Wayne movie. For Eastwood, I'd say Fistfull of Dollars or The Outlaw Josey Wales. Oh, and Jeremiah Johnson.

Default If we're including modern day...

It'd have to be "Tombstone" with Kurt Russel.

If not, I'd have to go with "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance."

If its got John Wayne or Clint Eastwood in it I like it. Hard time picking just one theres just so many to choose from.

Tombstone was also very good.

When any of those movies come on my wife says "your not gonna watch that AGAIN are you". My answer "you bet".

Man that's a tough one! I would probably nominate "The Outlaw Josey Wales," "Unforgiven," "The Shootist," and "The Wild Bunch." I like the real old ones too!

Come on. This is a no-brainer. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid has no peers.

I guess I'd have to agree with those who said "Tombstone". Val Kilmer was awesome as Doc Holliday... Other good ones are "The Cowboys" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales".

Any western with the "Duke" in it......also liked Silverado and Tombstone. Some of the spaghetti westerns with Clint were cool as well. Then there was the Magnificent Seven and the Jimmy Stewart flicks........uuhhmmm.......hard to pick just one. As for viewing them over and over again......I am a member of that club too!

Cat Balloo, sometimes comedies are the best (a drunk Lee Marvin on a drunk horse is one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen).
