if they dont have one in the next two years...ill have to give in get a gen IV...eat my balls GTO..u may be fast, but u look like a granny wagon...what a disgrace...
im keepin my fingers crossed tho for the gen V supra...keepin in mind that toyota did good in not releasing what the gen IV looked like until a month before it actually came out...
i hate you i dont even have my mkIII anymore, just a couple of 7Ms in the garage.
Nothing wrong with a 7M... well except for those headgaskets
I hope to pick mine up in a day or two from my tuner... hoping to break the 4 digit mark on the dyno. Wish me luck!!!

I think it's neat how they are releasing the fifth gen Supra exactly 10 years after they stopped production of the fourth gens in the US (2002 or 2003 was the last year for the JZA80 in Japan).
Oh, and by the way, I need a 89-92 with a blown engine and decent interior if anyone has one laying around. Thanks!
Didn't know if anyone might have a 89-92 MKIII they would be willing to part with. Thought I'd ask since there seem to be some pretty knowledgable Supra people on this forum even though it's called "Tundra...."
im really sorry. mines sold last year. i miss it alot.
im sure you can find a creampuff someplace in your hood. remember, make sure you start with a factory turbo model. building up an NA is cost prohibative. i can get you second hand electronics from japan for very good prices, HKS f-con, EVC, and the sort, around $100-150 per unit. lmk.

...And as a matter of fact, i cant spell.
Well, I still have my 89 Supra MKlll Turbo automatic. It is in need of some work right now though but only 110,000 original miles. Head gasket has been replaced and done right. It stopped being my daily driver in Aug 04 when hurricane Charley came through here and dropped a tree on it. It really has very little damage though. The tree broke out the rear window and put a small dent near the spoiler. I still have it licenced and insured. Repairs needed are repaint, new valve seals, and it has a transmission quirk, but it still drives fine.
I plan on fixing her back up, but might be willing to part with her.
Phil

I also have a 7MGTE engine complete with manifolds and turbo that need to be rebuilt. It is out of my 89 but the manifolds are off of a 91 manual trans supra. I replaced my engine with the block and head out of the 91. When I bought my Supra, this engine had a bad rod bearing and a blown head gasket so I bought a complete motor out of a totaled 91 with low miles.
The 1982-1986 5mge 2.8 that came is the supra was just about bullet proof. The 7mgte that came in the 1987-1992 was just as good with the minor problem of the head gasket. If you caught it in time you could re torque them.
Hi.... joined to get in on some new info for my 04 Solara... jumped into this thread for "old times sake".
Had a Mk II and redlined it every gear for nearly a quarter-million miles till I sold it... still ripping through the gears on the original 5MG...
Bought a Mk III N/A and gave it to my wife to justify the Mk III Turbo that caught my eye...
....this is where it gets interesting.... (and I'm too tired to tell the whole tale....) so, yes, I have a pretty modded up '89 pushing around 400bhp w/o the two 10lb bottles of NOS active. (Never used... not enough fuel and not my style... I couldn't imagine having to "ration" power...)
anyway.... someone asked... maybe I should drag it out from under the old oak tree and start tinkerin' with it again...
