All I can say, is Bravo.....but too late for me. My '91 GT/210K mile coupe is for sale....replaced by a '98 Lexus ES300. The Celica is a fun car, albeit a "chick" car. It was bought for the gas mileage and the FWD. All I had was RWD...trucks. Now that we have the Lexus, the wife has let me drive the Tundra, again. She didn't want to shift the GT/5-speed.
I'd like to have another Celica, though. This time around, I'm more selective...looking only for a Gen 6 (94-98) GT, preferably a convertible, but a Liftback would be okay...with a sunroof.
So, anyone looking for a commuter car? Mine is in excellent mechanical shape, with all the amenities. It was a one-owner car when I bought it in January of '03, with only 196K miles. If it had been anything but a Toyota, I would not have bought it. It was a leap of faith, that has been very reliable. I've spent a ton'o'money on it, because I always sell vehicles that are in better shape than when I buy them. It's just what I do. Buy high, sell low, deal in volume. It's the American way.

I own a 2000 Tundra which I love but now am longing for a nice sporty car to drive in the summer months. I thought of getting an early 80's celica or supra cause I like the style but I drove one and it didn't really have the comfort level I would like as I'm used to my Tundra's comfort. I also thought of getting a late '80s supra but I hear they have engine problems and I don't really want that. So now I'm thinking of the '94 to '99 celica as they look pretty nice and I'm sure they are comfortable too.
So if anyone has any positive or negative input on any of these vehicles pease feel free to put them here so I can make a decission as it is driving me bannanas!!!
Hey, does anybody know the biggest rim/tire package that will fit on an '05 celica? I'm used to mud tires and am cluless when it comes to cars. Thanks for your help!

Thanks Andy

I got a TRD wing from Toyota I would sell if interested. I paid $1500 for it installed and painted. But I do not expect anything near that much for it. PM me If interested

19's are the biggest I have seen on the Celica. My buddy runs them and so does the TRD rep in our area. I am running 17's so I have plenty of sidewall for a nicer ride

Does anyone know what the part number for the shocks that hold the trunk open are? My girlfriend's trunk no longer stays open and is a pain to lift open so i'm gonna find the parts for her so we can replace them...
I'd rather not go to the dealer to buy them so any kind of replacement as long as its pretty good will work
Hello new here and to Toyotas'! I just bought my husband, for Fathers Day, a 1996 Toyota Celica 25th Anniversary Edition No. 805. He always wanted a Celica. Don't know much about the Celicas', is there anything I need to know of any advice about these cars you can give me it has 240,600 miles and runs extremely great for the mileage. It is unbelievable!
