1987 Toyota Turbo Pickup

So i finally am going to post. Im getting close to the actual body work of my SEMI frame off resto. I have a VERY RARE 1987 2WD Toyota X-Cab SR-5 Turbo. I will be posting pics real soon on this site. The chassis is just about done and I am starting to get quotes for the body work. The truck has 68k original miles and was used only to haul a trailer. Unfortunately the sale kiiled the bottom of the truck. Amazingly the only thing that didnt rot was the cab.
I have managed after 3 years to acquire a new frame, powder coat the suspension, intall all new lines, a rear disc brake setup (basically for look) Pics are coming and so is the truck

I have only ever seen 1 turbo (factory) truck and it was an 86. They wanted more for it than I could afford at the time, but if I could find one know at a decent price, I would get it. They look pretty sweet. 1 of those or a diesel or a dually, something unique

I owned an 87 Toyota 4WD XC SR5 Turbo. It was my first brand new truck & had it for 4 yrs. Ended up selling it to finance my first house. The house was a money pit & by the sounds of it wouldda been better off keeping it. Bummer .... Oh well....good luck with your project. Here's is my one and only pic of mine....

let see if this works....this is a pciture of the truck half way through the project. It is now on its bare frame and ready to have the cab reinstalled and and getting ready for body work

Man those are awesome. A turbo diesel is cool.

I like xedge's one as well.

Where can I get one ?? I would definitely want a sr5 turbo diesel...

The 2WD turbo was the first Japanese A/T pickup I've ever seen to burn rubber on a straight line.

hi there. my brother owned a white with red interior turbo truck extra cab and 4x4. man i loved that truck it was so fast that it took out my 83 supra at the time. i would love to have one again in the family. could you help me find one for sale. thanks
