Need help with an 86 toyota Van!!

i have an 86 toyota van cargo version, so leaf springs
in the back. i am trying to replace the shackles on
the springs to give me a little lift. the top bolt
that attaches to the body comes out fine, but the
bottom bolt that goes through the leaf spring eye is
stuck. is it pressed in? i tried hammering it out and
just ended up with a really ugly bolt, using a c-clamp
to press it out resulted in a bent c-clamp. i want to
torch it to melt the rubber to get it out, but i can't
find any replacement bushings for the spring...
help!!!!

also, there is a lot of racket down below the seat and up front whenever i go over bumps or make turns... a clunking sound. some people say it's the forward upper control arm bushing.... it sounds pretty bad, any ideas???
