Default 88 Celica water pump replacement ???
My water pump is leaking and needs replaced. I figure I'll go ahead and put a timing belt on too while I'm at it since I have no idea how long ago the existing has been on. Anyone know of an online source for the procedure? TIA

Is it an ALL-Trac?

I'm not sure about the designation. The car is one my daughter and I are fixing up (and driving to &from work some) It's the GT, so it has the low power, naturally aspired version. All-trac got the turbo, GT-S got the 135hp engine. I think it is the 3sfe.

The cheap Haynes manuals found at any NAPA will have the info you need for timing job and/or water pump replacement. also, most local libraries keep Chilton's manuals around.

ALLDATA does not have instruction for R&R of a water pump.
TIS (Toyota Info System) does not have any info either, this vehicle is to old.

Go to an auto parts store and get a repair manual. Haynes/Chilton.

Attached you will find water pump instruction for a 1990 celica (5s-fe).
It is basically the same as a 3s-fe.
