Default Where is the blower resistor located.

The blower fan on my 2001 Tundra doesn't work. I heard reference to the blower fan resistor going bad, and that it should be tested before replacing the blower motor. Where is the blower motor and the resistor located, and what do I have to do to get to them? What resistance should the resistor read?

Did you check to make sure the Heater (blower) fuse is good? This would be a 40A fuse in yer fuse box labeled "Heater". What have you tested to make sure yer gitting power to the blower?

The blower should be located behind the glove box. You should be able to access it from the bottom of the dash. I believe there are 3 screws that hold the motor in the housing...10mm heads.

The resistor pack only slows the motor down and is located in the airflow of the blower to keep the resistor pack cooled. When you have the blower on high/full, the resistor pack is bypassed as the blower is gitting a full 12V. So it shouldn't be the resistor pack...

Many times if you have lost all speeds except high the speed control switch is malf, not the resistor, but it is easier to check the resistor first. A trip to the truck parts yard is usually less expensive route to take over a new one from the parts counter.
