1986 4-runner good buy?

Thinking about purchasing a 1986 4-runner with 220,000 miles, 8,000 on rebuilt motor. Body is in decent shape, transmission shifts fine (manual transmission) four wheel drive engages fine, asking price is $1900. Wondering if any of you guys have ever driven one of these things, and if so, could provide me with your opinions on this truck and price. thanks.

I used to have a '87 and sold it about 7 years ago. Was a solid truck. I cannot remember if it was just the '85 that had issues with wearing out brakes very fast, might want to look into that. Have it checked out by a mechanic and run a car fax report just to CYA!
