93 22RE Engine Problem

Just finished putting together a new (reman) 22RE short block and cyl head. I was very meticulas in setting valve adj and all the details. After hooking everything up it turns over nicely but does not start (YET). I checked fire at the wire, good. Also sprayed some starter fluid in the FI intake opening. Still nothing. Looking for ideas to make the troubleshooting process a bit quicker. Thanks for your inputs.

How did you check for spark?

Also, double check your timing and make sure the fuel pump is pumping like it should.
