Hey everyone!
I bought a 1980 Toyota SR5 P/U (2wd, 5spd, 20R engine) from an Auction Sale about a month ago. It was taken or abandond by the previous owner so the history is unknown, it passed the local inspection with only some patching of rust.
My only problem is, when i got it, i put a battery and 10bux worth of gas in the tank, tried to start it but to no avail. Ended up being that the needle was stuck in the carb, few taps with a hammer and it was running in no time! It ran great but seemed to idle very very ritch and when i shut it off hot i couldnt get it started unless i held my foot to the floor and cranked it for about 2mins. Turned out not to be the Choke (has the water heated choke on it) so i figured a good carb re-build is in order. Picked up a Kit for the carb and installed it after cleaning everything so it was spotless. put it all back on and I have no clue where the vac lines go "DOH" no vac diagram

i cap off all of the ports and start the truck up. well needless to say i have the same darn problem ecept for now it doesnt want to idle. no vac. leaks (will pull 19" of vac.)
Runs extreemely ritch (i changed the oil, havent drivin it more than 5miles, messed around with the carb, etc and it reaks of gas so i have to change that again. It seems to leak gas down the intake when shut off (this is my guess b/c its hard to start) i have the float level so the gas is half way up the sight glass in the carb.
I'm to my whits end on this one, this is my first toyota (used to playing with BigBlock Mopars and Holley Carbs).
