Default 98 T100 is this a good deal?

Just wanted to ask if you out there thought this was a good deal or not. I am contemplating its purchase to use as a daily driver but am worried about mileage and potential repairs. Ive read to look out for the clutch pedal bracket crack but no other issues. Is there anything else I should look for? Is there a recall on these motors for headgasket problems? thanks in advance.

98T100 v6, 5 sp manual, 150K , sr5, loaded, painted to match shell, bedliner, supercharged, 4x4. 5 spoke 16" aluminum wheels, generally in good condition. asking price is 8000.

Hard to say if its a good deal. First off no there is not a recall for 1998 V6 engines, only earlier models. The supercharger makes me leary of the use or abuse it saw. Maybe just a predudice I have but think most people who install superchargers don't drive them gently. The mileage is not exceptionally high for a T100 but not all that low either so I'd negotiate on that. T100's seem to hold their value very well like most toyotas so I'm not surprised by the $8400 price. If its in good shape and doesn't seem to have been driven hard I would think $7,500 would be a good deal and leave some money for mis. expenses like a new clutch ect.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking the same on the supercharger. has to have been run hard a few times... I think your idea of the 7500 is what I was thinking but for that money I might as well save it and buy somethin else. thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

I just turned over 140K miles on my '95 T100 and it still runs like a top (and due for its 2nd timing belt change). Only thing besides a normal maintentance I've had to do to it is 1) headgasket recall (my year was included in the recall) and 2) the mass air flow sensor went out this summer.

$8,400 seems about right for a supercharged 4x4 SR5. As others have mentioned I would be concerned how hard it has been driven with the supercharger and the wear on the clutch. Otherwise, these are great trucks and should run for 250+K miles.

just turned 150k on my 98 2wd AT xtra cab. just had the trans flushed and the thing feels like new again. almost. the engine feels great, but the trans leads me to worry. great trucks, price sounds about right here in SD, ca. 4x4 hold value like crazy out here.
