I want the OEM ride and smooth highway feel. By the way I do not want to purchas Toyota shocks for that OEM ride. I purchased Gaberal shocks and the truck feel horrible.
Tokiko and KYB are also OEM Toyota manufacturers and will give you good results.

I bought two different sets from the local shop ( installed both) that says these are the best ride and are factory fit... bs they fit but both sets rode horrible. I did some reacearch and fount that the factory for my ride was takiko-sp and found them to cost about $50-$60 each. Called my local Toyota dealer and got he the same Original Gas takiko for $43 per. They ride just like brand new.
The moral of the story is If I want a factory type ride buy factory parts. If I want to haul heavy I use my 2004 Dodge 2500 turbo diesel.

And a great moral it is.The reason a Toyota is such a great vehicle is because it is the sum of a bunch of great parts(which is contrary to what alot of people on this site think). If it were made of crappy parts,it would have a blue oval on the grille.

I thought it would have a big "Ni$$AN" on the front?

actuallly my 2004 dodge cummings has been a great truck and it has a ram on the front. the 2002 blue oval did have quite a few probems incuding warped brakes 3 times.

old school blue oval (tops!) is nothing compared to the new blue oval. I had a cp sensor fail twice and it was recomended to carry a spare for the Powerstroke.
The buttons may fall off the Ram but the cummings will outlast me. Now why do I have a 97 4-runner, 93 x-cab truck and a Dodge with the cummings... my Toyota will never tow my 32' 5th wheel. If Toyota could I would jump on it.
The truck I own is a 93 extra cab 4x4 V6 (3.0) with the 5 speed manual (It says 4runner in my sig but that's b/c they don't have the option on this site to pick 93 P/U). I had stock shocks on my truck up until about 10 K ago when I replaced my shocks with the Bilstein HD's on all 4 wheels. These shocks are really awesome shocks. The ride is firmer, you feel bumps just a tiny bit more, but you have way less body roll, and the truck isn't as phased as much which results in much much much better control of the truck, and much safer handling. The highway ride is also much smoother. However I will admit the stock shocks are a little softer and more comfortable, but remember that not all shocks can do everything well. It's really all about trade offs. The Bilsteins are awesome shocks though. They are firm but not too firm if that's fair to say. I can hammer corners like a sports car if need be (not that I do that but if need be like I said) and the truck doesn't feel like it's going to roll over!
Sorry it's taken me a little time to get back to you. The part numbers for the Bilstein HD shocks to fit a stock 93 Toyota pickup 4wd are:
For the fronts:
RCDB461139 (times 2 obviously)
For the rears:
RCDB461140 (again, times 2 obviously).
These are Bilstein HD shocks as I mentioned above. Some places may also refer to them as the Bilstein 4100's.
These shocks will fit a stock 86-89 2wd or 4wd 4runner, and a stock 86-95 Pickup.
Best of luck and let me know how you make out.
One thing I do want to mention - make sure your springs are in top shape. I suggest if you have any rear spring sag on your truck to replace the springs, and crank the torsion bars down so the front end comes down a little so you get a little more articulation and comfort up front. This will let your truck ride more level, it will look better in this regard, and it will really let the shocks work for you and work with the Springs a bit better. My opinion based on my expierience. I have an extra leaf spring in the back of my truck and I had the torsion bars cranked down from the previous owner. It made a good improvement in the handling. Then adding the Bilstein's made an even better improvement. It's still a truck - but you do notice the improvement.
What a nice looking truck. You should see what 12 year old trucks look like in Maine.
