Default 1989-95 4x4 Pickup Recall Question.

Has anyone had the recall done- for the steering relay rod on 4x4 models? I just recieved a notice for a truck I sold five years ago! Funny I wasn't even the original owner. Anyway I currently own a 1993 SR54x4 and assume they'll cover that one insted. I suppose I'll take it in to have it done but am worried they are going to screw up something in the process such as the allignment. Just wondering if its worth the trouble? Any feedback is appreciated.

Hmmm... that's a new one on me too! Are you referring to "pre-Tacoma" trucks or is the Tacoma also included in this, since it came out mid year 1995?!

You're absolutely right-every dealership in the world is a bunch of bungling hacks and they screw up everything they touch.

My '95 T-100 was covered under this recall. Took the dealership about 2 hrs to replace the steering rod. I think certain year 4-runners were covered under the recall as well. But not sure on any others.
