Default T 100 Seat Back Rest

I have (had) a 1998 T100. Thursday morning I had someone pull in front of me and I hit him pretty much at the same time I was rear ended. I think I may have blacked out for a few seconds because I only felt the front impact. My seat backrest broke and I hit the rear of the cab. Got a knot on my head. Here is my question. Should the backrest break like that?We were traveling about 45 mph when we impacted. My buddy in the truck said we went forward from the hit in front and then almost at the same time we were spanked in the rear. It really sucks my baby only has about 130000 miles on it and I just did the 120000 service. Oh well thats driving in the ATL. Gonna go look at dbl cad Taco

Absolutely should not break like that!
Call or email NHTSB and report a vehicle safety problem- then your attorney if you are injured.
