Default 92 Toyota 4WD will not start... help!

I have been at this for 2 days now! Engine just turns over. I replaced the fuel filter, it needed it. But still will not start. Gas is getting to the engine. Spark to the plugs. Air filter is only a few months old.

I don't know what to do at this point. I wanted to fix it myself. And right now, since it will not start, I can't drive it to a service station.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

timming, not enough spark, Throtle position sensor, oil pressure sensor, pluged up exhaust or cat converter. the list of possibilities goes on and on....it would help to know what engine, man or auto tranny?

If it was starting and running before you swapped out the fuel filter, it's got to be something related to that. Turn the key to the ON position for a few minutes, then get under the hood and look for a tire-valve looking thing on the fuel rail. This is a pressure release for the fuel rail. With a rag, push it down and see if fuel squirts out. If no, then your fuel pump is not running. If yes, then I'd start checking the ignition and see if you are getting a spark.

Here is an update with more info:

1992 Toyota Pickup 4WD, V6 with EFI - high miles.

Was running fine until a few weeks ago when getting colder. Then it starting idling rough. One weekend, coldest weekend since getting cold, it would turnover but not start.

Here is what I have done so far:

- Checked fuel filter and replaced, was pretty clogged

- Gas was get pumped from fuel pump (in tank) to the inline filter during turnover - not sure about fuel pressure?

- Checked gas line at the engine before injectors, was getting gas during turnover

- Stuck test light to injector plug and lit up during turnover

- Pulled plug, grounded to engine and got a spark

- Plug also damp with fuel, so tells me there is fuel passing through the injectors - so assumed fuel pressure is good??

- Air filter is good, just replaced not long ago.

- Opened radiator and turned over to check for blown head gasket. No back pressure from engine. Also drained oil to make sure no coolant.

- Spark Plugs not that old. But changed anyway due to high mileage and some oil usage

- Replaced distributor cap / rotor not long ago... replaced again and nothing

- Fuel Pump not coming on when I turn on the key. But works when I jump it using the diagnostics panel

- The EFI main relay clicks when turing ignition to ON. And within ohm specs per repair manual

- Circuit opening relay checks to be withing ohms

- Sprayed starter fluid in intake and turned over... it tried to start

- Checked Mass Air Flow ohms within spec

- Checked for diagnostic codes from jumping diagnostics panel and checking the check engine light... check engine light continuously blinks fast non-stop, no code. ???

- Checked water thermo sensor and within spec ohms

- Uplugged O2 sensor and tried to turnover, still nothing

- Checked timing and is good

NEXT STEP is to pour gas all over it and strike a match!!! I am about to my wits end.

Any ideas???

Need to check fuel pressure, it could either be to low or fuel regulator is not working and it is possible that it's flooding out. You need to check the fuel pump relay since the fuel pump should run for 2 or 3 seconds when key is turned to run position. It sounds like a fuel related problem if it tries to start with the starter fluid. I would recommend using carb or brake cleaner rather than the starting fluid for your safety!!
