Has anyone purchased this catback system for their 5.7 tundra? I searched for it but came up empty. If someone has talked about it, I didn't see it.
Flowmaster techs swear is was developed exclusively for the 5.7 and has a deep throaty sound outside with a low inside noise level, all while not hurting low end torque or horsepower.
Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this system?
My JBA is coming off ASAP and another member told me they put a flowmaster 50 series big block in place of their JBA and are pleased with it. I'm checking that one out on flowmasters site now.

It hasn't been out all that long. I did a ton of research on this purchase (unlike my previous JBA purchase) and it is in route to me now. (21st century exhaust in Florida. $475 for the complete system and they had it in stock ready to ship same day. I should know something next week about it first hand and will let you know. I made at least 25 calls to various wholesalers, manufacturers, dealers, muffler shops etc. asking every question I could think of and just listening more than anything. The one thing everyone seemed to agree on was that flowmaster did more dyno testing per specific vehicle than anyone which translated to a higher cost because of R&D. Yes they do use aluminized 16G steel which is eventually going to rust. maybe 10+ years in a good climate maybe 5 or so in a rough wintery climate with a lot of salt. (hey, I would like to think I'll keep this truck for 20 years but I've never kept one for more than 3 years thus far so this set up will work for my particular needs--not for everyone). This particular exhaust was tuned exclusively for the tundra 5.7 and was a 50 series big block muffler to begin with and was then tuned for the Tundra. The first hand feedback I got, which was two different people that had installed the exhaust said they couldn't be happier with a deep throaty growl--not obtrusively loud but deep. But inside the cabin the sound was more than tolerable. No loss in low end torque like I have with this JBA crap. I'm just hoping all the time I spent gathering information pays off this time and I get a good deep sound outside and a controlled sound inside. Gas mileage gains would be cake and performance gains would be ice cream. I want people, (dodge, ford and chevy boys), to know this truck has a lot of bite to go with the bark when i need it.

Hey, definitely be sure to let us know about your results. If you can, post a video. Does the place you got yours from have a website?

I have purchased this system for my 5.7 Tundra. It sounds great. I can not really speak about performance because I literally drove it from the lot to the muffler shop. I ordered it online for $475 at Century on 9/25. Deep throaty sound on the outside very quiet on the inside. I never did see this option on FlowMasters website. I had to call and get the part # and then call around.

I ordered my Gibson muffler today from Summit Racing, dual 2.5 in and dual 2.5 out. A local shop is going to install split duals wide to the rear near the corners. I'll have 18 inch slant cut rolled edge 3.5 inch stainless tips installed to finish the project.

bhbdvm, you are making me want mine even worse. thanks for the info.
THatch, that should look sweet. I heard a lot of good things on Gibson as well while doing my research. Let us know what you think after you get it on. Man, I hope LSU and Ohio State meet up in the championship game.
Personally, I would love to have a Cat Back Flow system but I cant wait so Im putting on dual 40 series TODAY!!! Im not sure of the size of the pipe but they will terminate into dual 31/2 in slant chrome tips. CANT WAIT !

RudyDep, that thing should have a rockin sound with the 40's. The 40's are their loudest exterior mufflers I believe. People will definitely know your coming and know when you've left.
