If you were to get a custom exhaust for your Tundra, what features would you want? Muffler? Pipe size? Duals? Cats or no cats if the laws allow? H-pipe or X-pipe?
How is putting on an aftermarket exhaust "messing up your truck"????

How is putting on an aftermarket exhaust "messing up your truck"????
What possible benefit does someone get from changing their exhaust?
Faster track times? 1% of the people here might actually use their Tundra for drag racing. If they are racing on the street, they are probably violating the law.
Better towing capacity?
It will already tow more than it is rated for, but if you do, you chance ruining other component parts.
Better fuel economy?
Probably nothing worth talking about. If you put this on your truck, you are probably going to drive faster anyway, and kill any minor fuel economy you might gain.
A "better" sound?
"Better" is opinion. It is just louder. All you do is make it so you have to turn up your stereo to hear it and so does everyone around you. When you drive through your neighborhood at 2AM, you just annoy people.
The likelyhood is you will attract the attention of police and get more tickets, piss off your neighbors, and gain nothing appreciable. It certainly will not make your schlong any bigger.

"Better" is opinion. It is just louder.NOT LOUDER. All you do is make it so you have to turn up your stereo to hear it and so does everyone around you. Well im sorry for that. When you drive through your neighborhood at 2AM,you just annoy people.
I dont annoy anyone. Im thoughtful and considerate at 2am.

I AM a policeman, I observe and obay the law. I dont piss off people because im considerate of their feelings and the gain is NON OF YOUR BUSINESS...Incidentally my SCHLONG is fine.

I am the 1% who does take their truck to the track every once in a while. I do enjoy louder exhaust tone and deeper sound tone that my cat back gives to me. I dont really care about the gas mileage and my cat doesnt do anything to "mess" up my truck it is all bolt on and will probably take it off and put the stock system back on when I sell it so i can sell the catback exhaust to someone else who can use it.
How about something of substance to refute the post, instead of just being rude?

I have no problem with people who race to try to get better track times. That only makes sense. Too many people just do it just to make it louder.
I hope you will at least have the decency to disclose the fact that you raced the truck when you sell it to someone else.

i was wondering the same thin. no way i am going to spend 1k on a magnaflow, let aloe 300 or so for some pre assembled kit when i can take it to shop have anything i want done for 200flat.
i was thinking h pipe for cad quiteness, 2.5 in dual or single

What about it? Most often Cruise Control makes you lose MPG because it is trying to maintain a speed instead and varys consumption more errratically than the foot.

That is a matter of opinion. Just because no one has said anything to you does not mean your louder exhaust has not annoyed them.

Most of my friends are law enforcement, and knowing them as well as I do, I doubt that you never violate the law. I see speeding police cars here all the time, with the occupants in civilian clothes. I have stopped a local cop here who ran the stop sign in front of my house while he was talking on his cell phone. Do not sit there and think I am going to buy into the idea that policemen never break the law.

Maybe you are, maybe you aren't. If you modify your exhaust for no other reason than to make it loud, you probably aren't.
So if I choose to spend $200 on an exhaust because I like the sound... or that same $200 on speakers because I like the sound...its no different correct?
After seeing some of your comments...Im obviously wasting my breath so you do what you want. Id just appreciate that you do not degrade or belittle anyone that sees things a bit differently than you.
