Default Question regarding loss of power w/ exhaust

I got dual FM's 40 series 3"pipe fom the Y connection to the muffler, then 2 1/2" piping from the muffler back. I know I lost a LITTLE on my low end, Im curious is it because of the 3" pipe from the y connection to the muffler? That would cause me to lose a little back pressure. I was wondering if I could take it back to them and have them put in 2 1/2" pipe instead of the 3". Think it'd be worth it?

I would do 2.25 in pipe to get back and maybe gain some low end.
