Default Is new exhaust worth it?

I have stock muffler on 2000 tundra v8. Is it worth it to upgrade?

Depends on what you want from the exhaust. A cat back will give only a very small power improvement, but the right one will sound much better, if that is something you would like.

It does not have to be expensive. The sound is great and it does give a little power in the upper RPMs.
Here is a thread that is a work in progress but it will give you an idea of what I paid and I hope to get some sound clips loaded pretty soon.

I say HELL YES! Thats the 1st thing i did when I got my truck. I put on FM 40's, and yes they r a lil loud, they do drone some around 2G's, but its like music to my ears! That along with the AFE CAI, has been real nice. Some people will argue it, thats fine. I picked up about 1/2 MPG. Which was cool, and she does seem to move a lil bit better in mid to higher RPM's. Yes I did lose a lil on the low end, but thats ok I gues,s ebfore the mods I kept spinning my tires at every stop and turn, she dont do it as much anymore, but will EASILY DO IT! I say go for it! Not to mention I get alot of compliments about my exhaust!
