Default Headers for a 2000?

They are selling headers for the 4.7L on the ebay for decent prices. Are they worth bothering with? Exhaust is bone stock right now. Looking for an airbox to help it on the front end.

You can SS Autochrome headers for $150.00 as part of a special group buy. E-mail Them if you're interested. Had mine installed recently due to the OEM manifold leaks and they are great.

Anything with good welds is better than stock.

Agreed. They have done some cost cutting on these trucks in a few areas, and the exhaust manifolds appear to be at the top of the list. Another would be that stupid circular exhaust clamp in front of the muffler.

Default Re: Headers for a 2000? How much labor?

How much shop time will I be looking at if I get headers installed?
Would a muffler shop be better than a regular mechanic?

Make sure they use an OEM gasket and bolts.
