I fully intend to get a performance exhaust for my RCSB.
Corsa is most interesting because of the zero restriction / acoustic cancellation technology it uses. Finally we have someone who can do better than a round metal case full of fiberglass insulation and abrupt directional changes in the flow, same as the past 100 years, give or take.
I have been reading that Corsa mufflers and exhaust must be precisely tuned to individual vehicles and engines to make the acoustical cancellations work properly and the muffler actually muffle. In fact Corsa cautions against using their systems outside the intended applications. A couple days ago someone with a TRD supercharged Tundra 5.7 reported his Corsa Touring system is now extremely loud. Barring some unknown circumstances like damaging his exhaust somehow, I had to conclude the addition of the supercharger changed the engine characteristics enough that the tuning of the Corsa sound cancellation technology no longer worked properly, hence his high level of exhaust noise. It is not unreasonable the Corsa systems should be optimized around a specific engine, and then not be expected to work when the engine is changed very significantly, but we all love to modify. Does a Corsa system become useless (loud) when, say, a set of headers are added?
Anyone with a Corsa system who added the system to a stock truck, then installed other mods later (such as headers), did you notice an increase in exhaust noise, and which mods did you install that caused this?
