Default Getting rid of exhaust drone

I bought myself a Gibson catback system for my '00 Tundra for Christmas and installed it yesterday. It sounds great but there is a drone at highway speeds (60mph). I chose this system because I thought it was supposed to be quieter in the cab than other systems. Is there anything I could do to fix this? I thought about removing the resonator and replacing it with a glasspack but I don't know what the result would be. Any suggestions?

I am not sure what to recommend on the drone if your stock resonator is still intact. I had to put a glass pack on mine as we had (in hindsight) foolishly cut out and threw away the stock resonator. I eliminated the stock resonator because the aero turbine I ended up with was a resonated model and I also thought getting rid of the stock resonator would increase performance. The ensuing drone was just intolerable on the freeway. In town it was not too bad and the exhaust was nice and loud.

I can tell you that the glass pack helped a lot and it still left some growl to the exhaust. I wonder what it would be like with a glass pack in the stock resonator location and then another glass pack in the stock muffler location? My suggestion to you would be to contact a reputable exhaust shop and get some ideas from them. There has to be a way to deal with it but I do not have enough experience to make any suggestions.

Good luck

19+ MPG on the Highway at 75 MPH in a DC with a four speed automatic and a bad O2 sensor - not too shabby!

I am not sure what the return policy on a slightly used exhaust system would be. I have thought about replacing the muffler as a last resort with a 1 in 2 out muffler of the same size. I am good friends with the owner of a local muffler shop so I may see what he could suggest. From what I have read on this site this is just what comes with the territory when changing exhaust.
