Question Magnaflow muffler?

I know this has been tossed around, but would there be any performance gains by leaving my existing exhaust system and replacing the stock muffler only with a Magnaflow 5"x11"x22" oval SS muffler? I know some have talked about replacing the muffler and exhaust tip. What would be the advantage of replacing the exhaust tip other than stricly cosmetics? Any input would be very much appreciated.

Nothing from the tip, muffler mostly sound change. Maybe a little extra but I dont think even the butt dyno will pick up on the difference..... It will sound cool though..

I have a Magnaflow 22" muff and a 12" SS tip on my truck. I do not notice any performance gains. I like the looks and sound though.
