Question Custom Exhaust and size question

I am setting up a custom exhaust setup and have run into a little issue. I need to go from a 3 inch id to what ever the size is for the stock resonator flair. I read the PIPE is 2 3/4 but the flair is , of course, much bigger than that. Anyone have any idea on what that is and what I need to transition from the 3 inch to something that connects to the stock resonator and the flair?

one suggestion would be to cut off the stock flanges and get a pipe that is 2 3/4 and have the exhaust guy stretch the pipe to fit inside the 3 inch piping.
???

I agree - the best thing to do is to stretch the piping to fit. Keep in mind there's only so far you can stretch the OEM piping, because it's very thin and made from 309 stainless. The common aluminized steel exhaust shops use stretches much easier and further.

Stock tubing on the Tundra is 2.25"
Why the desire to go from manifold 2.25" to 3" down tubes to another pinch point of 2.25 on a stock resonator.

I have it. Instead if shreading the stock system I have I found the RIGHT part to adapt the custom stuff to my system. The answer is: The resonator is right at a 3 inch inlet. I found a 3 inch adaptor with flange. Problem solved. the rear pipe is 2 3/4 from behind the resonator to the exit.

try more info by a serch on" $180 cat back system" i did 2 1/2 inch duals. perhaps 2.25 would have more draw for more low end power. who cares about 10 extra hp at 5,800 rpm where you can not use it. sam
