Newbie exhaust question

Im new to the world of performance exhaust and have a pretty simple question. Ive narrowed down my choices of exhaust to the TRD Duals or the Borla Duals. Is there any advantage of side exit vs rear exit or vice versa?

In theory a rear exit system has less bends than a side exit and therefore might have less restriction, but in practice this difference would be negligible. Pick whichever one looks best for you.
