Well, I have wanted an exhaust for a while, but didn't want to spend a lot on it. thought about just getting a muffler and having an exhaust shop install it. Then I saw that dynomax makes a cat-back and they are never too expensive, so I did a search and found a place that I could get it cheap!

i've installed one on my 92 Chevy C1500 reg cab with a V6. The exhaust rusted on it and just wanted the cheapest exhaust. These install easy.

That's probably the cheapest shipped price you'll find on that exhaust. Big online speed shops like Summit Racing and Jegs sell the same system for around $200-210 plus shipping.

They don't list it,but it should. Exhaust systems after the Y-pipe are the same on both AC and DC.

I just checked,the free shipping code doesn't work anymore but it's still under $200 shipped.

Yeah, its a deal, just to have the piping, the muffler can easily be changed later. I figure I will see how I like this sound. You can change it around for sound too with other Dynomax muffler, like the Ultra Flo SS or welded.

BTW,there might be an error in the instructions. The catalog diagrams show it as an offset in/center out setup but instruction sheet shows center in/offset out. I emailed them about it and they said the instructions are wrong,it should be offset/center. This was back in 2007,they might have corrected it,but just in case

Even the non-sale price is a decent deal.

Thanks for the heads up....i'll have to check the instructions and see if its the same at the catalog or not. =) Maybe just hang the pipe and check the muffler fitment last.

Interested in your thoughts on this. Are you running headers also? Post some sound clips if you can.

will do, but don't have a good way to get an audio clip, but i'll see what I can do.
It showed up today, looks nice! Can't believe I only paid $155 for it! =)

I found some clips of it on a chevy 5.3 and it seemed fairly loud. Sounded good though. Trying to figure out what to do to mine.

Installed the exhaust today....only moved it in the shop, but its pretty quiet. I might have to get another muffler and change it out sometime and see if I can change the sound. I'll let you know more about the sound after I drive it.

So did they correct the instructions or is the illustration still wrong?
