Default 2.25" or 2.5"??

I have an 04 Tundra with the 4.7 v8.
For optimum performance and least amount of torque lost do I want a muffler that is 2.5" or 2.25" in diameter? I am going to be getting 1 26" long powerstick installed into the stock piping.

Stick with whatever your stock tubing size is.
