TRD set-up involves swapping one 2:1"trash-can" size muffler for another 2:1"trash-can" size muffler only to exit with single/two out to the right TnK
Wrong!
Two in, two out (one on right, one on left), single muffler, dual chambered.

With all the performance flowers going out to Borla,TRD,Gibson and the like why is you never see "ANY" of their mufflers on High End Custom Performance Vehicles at venues like SEMA ?
**Paid Vendors/Sponsor excluded**
Most likely due to something along the lines of "AINT" Good Enough ?
Why dont any of them offer a "Lifetime Warranty" against "blow-in" or "blow-out" ?
TRD set-up involves swapping one 2:1"trash-can" size muffler for another 2:1"trash-can" size muffler only to exit with single/two out to the right
Im missing the logic in funds invested for these setups?
or is Logic even a factor?
TnK
So what do you intend to put on your truck for a few extra hp?

So what is the setup on the ones with the single out,two pipes out.One right and one left?
Seen 2 units on the back lot here ? look like TRD tips to me.

Mufflers are for sound quality, not Horsepower increases.
OK so back to my question, what do you intend to put on your truck for extra hp?

A "few"HP ? LOL!! I learned long ago if your gonna mod it ? Mod Smart and dont be wasting $$$ on stuff like Factory bolt-ons,C/A and throttle-body spacers .Generally after about the 3rd addition you start canceling out the others benefits and end up with a Sig-line full of BS that impresses no one but the vendor you purchased it from .
I would prefer an "ALL MOTOR"configuration personally, but for giggles a 8-12 psi Turbo would be kinda trick
Those 4:30 gears gotta go for sure something like 3:70's might do a Turbo good on the topside of the RPM pull.Wouldn't hurt an "All Motor" set-up either
Question is ........ How high can we wind these motors ?
Another 2K would be the "!*!*!"
All speculation until they get finished hacking the ECM's,dont doubt that their not hard at it

any idea on what companies are hard at work doing that, for now i really want something that will delete the speed govenor and change up the tires and then later down the road intake/headerse/exhaust and then later we'll see, a hks or greddy turbo at the boost you mentioned sure would be sweeeeet.

I have heard talk of a cam upgrade for an extra 50hp, but for now its just talk. I got my exhaust and true flow airfliter, so I am done for the time being. Just have to wait a bit for aftermarket support. Surely they will come through for this already awesome motor, as it will be seeing use in other Toyoya/Lexus vehicles. Time will tell, I am a little skeptical about the SC talk after what happened with the 4.7.

The speed could be nudged up another 10-20 mph,but the rate @ which it arrives is what would be of most interest The AfterMarket couldn't be any busier LOL!!
South Texas is a busy place .......(hint)
I placed dual Borla Pro-XS on my 5.7 DC and am "LOVING IT". It might be a little loud for some but, I like ti alot. Not much in the hp change but, it sounds FASTER. It's a matter of preference. I like the 1,000,000 mile warranty and TOYOTA uses the on other vehicles. I had it done custom and only cost me $580 for mufflers, pipe, and chrome tips w/labor. As opposed to $1100 for TRD with one large "trash can" underneath. I think it goes to a persons likes and dislikes. YOU CHOOSE!!!!

I have never seen that.
Stock is dual in, single out on the right, no tip. You can buy/port add on a bolt on TRD (tip) for the stock.
TRD Dual is dual in, dual out (1 right, 1 left) which have the tips prewelded on. The entire system from the cats is bolt on.
When it's not raining out, I could lay under it and take a couple of pictures if you like.

Both trucks were parked in about 8-10" of water and I wasnt about to ..... LOL!! They are indeed TRD Tips and not the scab on option items for the single right exit.
