Looking to do the same with my 07 5.7L. How is the sound at Hwy speeds? I am a little worried about a low drone that some trucks have. My local dealer has Wed night parts specials so I can get the TRD system for less than $600. Any gotchas with the install - did the parts come with instructions? Also does the system go all the way up to the headers, I assume it is just upstream of the muffler. Assume you noticed no performance difference

Sound at hwy speeds? Much like stock, just a bit louder. But when you step on it, she gets real mean. A little loud when under power/acceleration, but it relaxes when you level your speed off. I honestly don't think it drones anymore than the stock. $600? If that is for the whole system, you'd be making a mistake going with anything else, that's a steal... IMHO Install? Instructions in the box, and like I said, took me an hour by myself. It is all straight forward, and anyone with a small set of tools could do it themselves. To the headers? NO, from the cats back. Performance gains? Again, I haven't seen or performed a dyno before and after, but Toyota says around a 10hp gain. It feels like there is more than stock, and it sure sounds fast.
Pictures, best I have right now...

It's unlikely anyone will be able to get a TRD dual exhaust for $600.00 from a Toyota dealer. That would be well below dealer cost. For a 00-06 Tundra maybe but an 07 is a completely different animal. The lowest price I found for it was $915.00 at Spark's Toyota.

Is there anyway you could do another audio clip of your exhaust either puling out from a stop and accelerating or doing a drive by with acceleration?
I'd be interested in hearing the TRD while under a load rather just sitting in park.

Yes, but it may take some time. I got rid of the MP3 player I recorded the 1st clips with. I will try the cell phone, but may have to go to the vid cam. I'll see what I can do.

Exactly, and neither does MY TRD duals.
Louder...Yes
Drone...No, not even when I tow my 5000lb Travel Trailer.

TRD dont make the exhaust exit out the rear, instead of behind the rear tires??
I was hoping to see 2 straight pipes coming out from under the rear bumper.
oh well.
That would be the Borla, also a very fine system from what I hear.

I have 07 regular cab Tundra with TRD duals installed by dealer. System has an annoying drone between 1500 and 2000 RPM under light throttle. Not extremely loud but annoying over long distance. Just my 2 cents for the day.
