Try a Dynomax dude. Traditionally Flowmasters don't place well in muffler shootouts.

dynamax does not have a large capacity muffler, suited for these big engines, if you know one let me know.

Try one of the Super Turbo series in the large body 5.5" x 11" size. Some of them have 3" tubing throughout. They list the loss free horsepower each muffler will support in their data sheet. Also look at UltraFlow.

Not sure about the 70 series but I have the 40 series( louder than 70 series) and they are perfectly fine. They are loud at crank up and accelaration but at cruising speed you can honestly barely even hear them, no drone at all! At 70 MPH on the hwy they make no noise!, I would imagine the 70 series would be even quiter at the crank and when accelerating. 70 series=3 chamber, 40 series=2 chamber.

Just remember, this 6-speed tranny will keep you RPM'S low at cruising speeds and any muffler shouldn't be too annoying while cruising.

the tundra's engine emmits a nice drone around 1500-2000rpm. the 5.7 does this on it seems any exhaust system.

The flowmaster has baffled chambers which i'm not that fond of. There is no true-x or h-pipe in there and that is why I'm with magnaflow and not flowmaster.

    Try out the 12568 magnaflow.

I just had a Flowmaster 70 series dual in/out installed and I love it. I haven't noticed any measurable drone yet, but don't really care anyway. It's got a nice sound when you get on it, but idle is nice and quiet. If you buy the muffler on Ebay, you can save about $60.

you maybe right, but from my experience any muffler with packing get louder, what i do know is that the 70 will be the quietest muffler, if i install it, i will add the stock resonator somewhere behind the flowmaster

I have a Flomaster 50 series and it is fairly quiet. The shop that did my custom install explained to me that the 50 series was designed for use in SUV's where drone was most noticable. You barely here the exhaust in the cab if you accellerate gentley and at cruising speed of 65-75 it really isn't a problem.

think i'll just stick with stock, lot less headache, plus with the resonator removed the stock exhaust has deeper tone at lower speeds.
