I voted YES...

Because of the violation of human rights, all the never solved issues concerning Tibet, and so on....

On the other hand, in the election for the next host for the Olympics, there was nobody saying China could not be on the list...

Hmmmmzzz.... it's difficult to boycot now, the world should have thought of this earlier...!!

In our country there are several individual sportsmen and sportswomen who decided ( allthough invited ) not to go... They got my respect, shows they have made their own decision...

I voted "No" simply because boycotts are largely symbolic and they really don't accomplish anything.

Don't really see how boycotting the olympics will solve the genocide in China.

It calls attention to the great violations of human rights the Chinese are guilty of.

There's already enough attention on the subject. Just like there is attention on Iran's uranium enrichment program and even though the UN gives them "harsh" economic sanctions they still keep chugging along. No one cares until it is on their front door step. A boycott could only possibly work if the ENTIRE world excluded China from the Olympics. Just because the US is boycotting the Olympics really isn't that big of a deal. Chinese government doesn't care if the United States is coming to the Olympics or not.

The Chinese play us and the world as suckers which we are. They have great power and will use it for evil means which they are doing in many cases. We fight the Iraqi's but let China run over the world abusing it and their own people. BTW, I still think they are communists, aren't they?

I voted Yes, because the Chinese are ruining the planet on a scale that makes North America seem insignificant, they are brutal to their own people making slaves of them, which means products which are well below market value which is killing our manufacturing competitiveness.

I think it was 1984 when the Russians boycotted the olympics, nobody seemed to notice.

Don't blame the Chinese for making inexpensive products; blame the Americans who buy them. We are cutting our own throats and the Chinese are selling us the knife.
