I'm curious to see how many would buy a diesel Tundra or Tacoma. I'd buy a Tacoma with a diesel in a heartbeat! The new Tundra is just too big for my needs. Maybe if there's enough interest in diesels, Toyota will build them for the US and put a nail in GM's coffin and finally be crowned "The True King"! Just a thought...

You forgot to include a option in your poll to Not Buy a Diesel. That's the one I would have checked.
All a man really needs for happiness in this world is a good woman, a faithful dog, and a big-a$$ed set of tires on his truck.

yeah i would definately, im still a little skeptical on the new body style i liked the 2000-06 better this looks completely different. but that would be something to make me turn to it. diesal toyota with banks too raw. id like to see that....matt
I would definetlly consider a 4 wheel drive diesel Tundra, I actually saw a magazine with a concept one made, but it said there were no plans yet for production

I would not buy a diesel. One you consider the added purchase price of that diesel engine as well as the added maintenance costs, you really arent money ahead in the long run.
Actually, its slightly cheaper to own a gas over a diesel.
However, I do think that eventually the emission regulations will force the auto market into switch over to diesels and we wont have a choice.

Prices are sky high, the only alternative for me is a propane adjusted engine...
it takes about € 3.500 to make that modification ( about $ 5,500 ) but knowing diesel costs about $ 7,75 per gallon and propane about $ 3,50 per gallon, propane will have a big future here...
I Drive a Landcruiser 3,0 ltr. diesel, it runs 9 kilometers on a liter = 21 mpg...
costs per mile = $ 0.37
tundra will run 5 kilometers on a liter = 12 mpg.
costs per mile = $ 0.29
On average I drive some 60,000 kilometer per year ( 37,500 miles ).
