Can someone tell me how you post "polls" (the voting selections)

Thought I would "reword" the thread, as the other one I posted was not getting any response for some reason. Its like it is invisible.

Sorry if this is not in the right place, but can can someone tell me how you make the selections in the "poll" section? Can only subscribers make polls? I tried to make one, but I cannot figure out how to make the "selections/choices". Most forums have an option you can click to add your answers, but this one remains a mystery to me. Maybe I am dumb, because everyone else seems to be able to make them with little fanfare.

ok what happend to me
i wanted to make a pole about the work one it did not work and then i talked to a mod. person
2 to 4 days later i had a spot where it said pols click hear and now i can make polls when ever i want dont know if the 2 are related or not but thats my story.
