Ok, I've found a place to get my exhaust done but now I'm confused as to which one to get. Some places say Magnaflow is better and some say Flowmaster. I don't know anything about truck exhausts or these companies so if anybody can give me some pros & cons on these & some info on which generally is the better manufacturer I'd greatly appreciate it.
I'm probably going to try some flowmaster 2chamber 40 series out on my truck (running true duals out the rear). Common sence says its gonna be too damn loud, but the child in me says its gonna sound damn good and annoy the neighbors
Magnaflow is stainless & has a lifetime warranty. Flowmaster isn't & will be considerably louder than the magnaflow.
I just got mine done this week. I went with the magnaflow 22"- dual 2.5" inlet & 3" single out, plus i replaced the stock 2.75" out with 3" mandrel bent tubing all the way back with a stainless tip.
The sound is not much louder than stock but has a nice deep throaty tone. I really like the sound at 1600 r's.
If i were to go with the flowmaster, i would go with the 70 series. I had it on my 02 sequoia & it sounded great.

It's all a matter of sound. Why worry about if the muffler is stainless or not? Chances are the aluminized piping you'll be using if you get it custom made will go out before the muffler anyway.
The longer the Magnaflow muffler the quieter. The bigger the number for flowmaster the quieter (take a look at their web site).
Magnaflow is a smoother sound while flowmaster is a lot raspier. I prefer flowmaster but everyone has different tastes.

Borla is the icon of raspy, gurgling.Well known for resonance at road speed, what you hear in cab is not what you hear coming from the tail pipes.
Research why places like LPE,Hennesy,Berger and a few other well known tuners "dont" use Magnaflow,Flowmaster,Edlebrock or Borla ? Might wanna look into it.Then get ya a real performance muffler set-up
