Default Any educated guesses as to what future incentives might be?

I would like to purchase a new Tundra but in order to get the equipment I really desire I might want to wait and order a 2008 model.

I would really like to take advantage of Toyota's current $2500 rebate or 1.9% financing on the 2007 models and dont want to miss the boat as 2 to 3 thousand dollars is a pretty good chunk of change to me.

I realize that nobody has a crystal ball, but would anyone care to comment on how Toyota has historically handled the end of model year incentives with the Tundras?

I wonder how long I might have to wait for similar incentives for the 2008 model year?

...Glenn

I got 0% for 60 months on a 5.7 crewmax. Why? Gas prices, new model, not selling as well at the time???

Dealers/MFG's put incentives for you to buy when you otherwise might not. If the '08 has no problems and is selling well, expect no incentives.

Buy what you want or what you can afford, when you want it, or when you can afford it. Don't wait on incentives you may never get. If gas prices drop tomorrow, you may not be able to find 5.7's at a good price, with no additional incentives.

Pontiac sells the "Solstace" well above "Suggested Retail" because they can. No incentives, no price breaks. They just do not keep up with demand, so they are hard to come by (At least they were...this could have changed by now), and people would buy them at whatever price they asked.

The deal you get is totally based on the market in your area at the time.

If I had to guess I would say you will probably keep seeing some pretty good incentives right into spring. Maybe not on the 08's until January. But the winter is usually a slow time for moving cars and trucks, combined with gas that looks to be holding steady or going up, and some serious incentives by the big three, means Toyota will have to continue to offer incentives to move trucks. Plus I think a lot of people have gotten used to the 2500/3000 price break Toyota has been running steady for several months. If they drop the incentive I think people will just wait them out until it is offered again. Even with the incentive, the price is only marginally competitive IMO.
