When I picked up my DC, the salesman said that he could match the 0% that California is doing, so I got my hopes up and thought wow I'm gonna save like $2500. Then the next day, I come to find out that the salesman was wrong and he was repremanded for telling me that. So that whole situation left a sour taste in my mouth, but I figured it was no big deal. I know the finance manager and I figured what the hell, he will give me a good deal, but he didnt. I asked him if he could have the tow mirrors swapped on arrival of the truck and he said that was no big deal, but the day I went to pick it up, he told me that I would have to make an appointment and that it would cost me. WTF? And finally, when I was filling out the paper work, the lady told me that this was a survey from Toyota regarding dealership customer service and she wanted to do everything she could to get exceptional remarks. I thought to myself you ripped me off, your salesman lied to me, you couldnt swap out a set of mirrors and your finance guy treated me like crap and you want me to give you good remarks. NO WAY!
I will never buy from Carson Toyota again and I hope nobody on this forum will ever buy from them.

It's really tough when you run into a dealer like that. It takes a lot of the sparkle off your new purchase. I've been VERY lucky with my Toyota dealer, but I know what you went thru. I have had bad experiences with other dealers before.

Toyota dealers are pretty miserable in terms of customer service. There is an obnoxiousness in their attitude, which is surprising considering that their Lexus dealers for the most part are decent. It's almost like they are at opposite ends of the spectrum in customer service.
first of all. It always sucks to get lied to. Second. always get any info in writing. If it isnt written down, then it doesnt exist and then just most of the time.
Only believe something that someone in the position of authority can promise you. A regular salesman has no authority to promise anything so unless a sales manager , fleet manager or internet manager in writing has told you, then it is worth as much as this post is. lol
no excuses for their actions. No one should promise a damn thing unless they are going to put up or shut up
The salesman gave me some guy's business card. It says hes with Toyota Motor Credit, so I called the guy three times and all I have gotten is a voicemail.

If it's the dealer F&I guy, (finance and insurance) then you may need to go see him in person; they are notorious for ignoring messages. If it's Toyota Motor Credit, that's just the finance wing of Toyota. They don't care nor do they have any power to renegotiate your contract. It's not like they are going to change your interest rate now; give you the rebate and 0% financing.
That's just a way for the salesman and the dealer to skirt the issue and deflect you to someone else. At this point it looks like they took you for a ride. If you have already signed the sales contract and taken delivery, there's really not much that can be done, unless you have an option contract where within a certain amount of time (say for example 7-10 days) you can come back with your own financing.
When, I bought my Tundra, I was still waiting for my paperwork for my financing, so I asked my dealer for a 5 day option. If I did not have my own financing or could not find better financing, I think I would have ended up with 6.9% over 60 months through Toyota motor credit.
Still pretty high considering my fico is 770. I don't know what interest rate you have currently or if they gave you an option contract, however if it is pretty high, you may want to find out if you can finance through someone else.
This is different from refinancing, which you will usually end up with a rate that is at least 2% higher than new car purchase so depending on your current rate, it may not be even worth it. Even though, your vehicle is new right now, if this dealer already put the paperwork through and you are now with toyota motor credit, it would be considered refinancing. Read through the paperwork again and make sure.

Thats just it, I havent done the finance paper work yet. I asked for them to do a purchase order and they are giving me ten days to see if remaining 07s go for 0% straight accross. Believe me, I had to ask for them to do that.

So I talked to a guy from Toyota Motor Credit, and he had the balls to tell me that 0% @ 60 wasnt offered in Cali. during the months of September and October. F%^&ing liar!

It's just a call center. They are staffed with a bunch of kid out of college, and some who never got past high school, but have been at it in that dept for so long that they are lifer's. There is absolutely no customer service with TMC. Depending on what your rate is, it might not be worth it to refinance at this point. Just out of curiousity, what is are the terms (% and duration) of the financimg that they had you as?
