So now that the 08 is admissible, what is the best way to get one? Most dealerships i have talked to in Montana say they will not sell the 08's to Canadians due to a franchise agreement.

Then you would probably have to go with the dealerships that have agreed to sell to you. Other than that you would have to go through a broker, which is one route that many Canadians are taking now in buying through the U.S.

I'd advise to just start calling dealers south of the border. I don't doubt you'll find one who'll sell to you, even if not with the factory rebate, as long as you agree to pay cash $. That's what I did about 6 weeks ago, no problem, and for me they still threw in the $2,500 factory rebate. A higher volume dealer may be more inclined to ignore Toyota's edicts, and since they like to sell, they often have better pricing.
