I just got a copy of the "invoice" and it includes the following items:

- Destination charge
- TDA
- Gasoline
- Dealer Holdback
- Whsl Financial Reserve
So it really gets down to how invoice is defined by the dealer/buyer.
What is TDA?
Are TDA/Holdback/Wholesale Financial reserve items that give the dealer a further profit cushion between what they truly pay for the car and the total "invoice" and therefore additional dollar amounts that could be treated as profit margin that is negotiable by the buyer?
Thanks for any further input you can provide.

dealers always agree on what invoice is, it is all the other online services that cant even agree,
tda is advertising fee that we dont get back
hold back and financial reserve are fees that we get back under certain conditions. That is how I can sell a car for invoice and the dealership still make something. We do agree that they should at least make something right?
if a customer picks up the car the first day i get it , then i make the hold back and the financial reserve amount. If a customer buys this left over 2007 i have had for over a year for invoice, I would actually lose approx $1500 that i have paid on interest while the truck has sat here. So true cost is never really known, the most it can be is what invoice says, but often times we own vehicles for way over invoice if they are not fast movers
If you can get a truck for what toyota says is invoice minus incentives, buy it, you might be able to nickel and dime your way to a little bit more off but is it really worth your time.
