Did I get a good deal, how they make you buy a warranty
$25,240 for a 2005 SR5 Sequioa with 27,000 miles. Has leather, heated seats, jbl sound, sun roof. 1 owner, clear carfax.
I agreed over the phone on 25,000. Then they say we need to add transportation and administrative fees that are $350 each. So we negotiated that to get back to $25.2k
And then, I told them I can get 4.99 from my credit union, they said they can match that, but also offered me 3.99 if I buy a platinum warranty, for $1380. The warranty has 4 more years, or 73,000 miles. The sales he did on me on that warranty started off with $2800 then 18 then 16 then $13,8k
With the better financing rate I got, it turned out that I paid about $600 for the warranty.
Was it worth it? Can I cancel the warranty and get my money back? Was it overall a good deal?

I woulnd't cancel the warranty. You got a good deal on it. Yes, they made money, but not a crazy amount. All it takes is for one thing to go out and it will have paid for itself. With 2 air conditioning systems and all the electronics, I think its worth having.
