Default 2008 LTD Crew Max-Good or bad deal?

I’ve been a long time lurker. I just recently started shopping for a 2008 Crewmax LTD. The local dealer does not have want I want in stock. The salesman has found me what I mostly wanted. Another dealer has this truck about 220 miles away. It went through their PDI on 4/20. My loacl dealer is willing to get this truck for me.

It’s a Limited Super White 4x4 Crewmax with Tan interior.

It has Rear DVD Entertainment system
20” alloy Wheels
DVD Navigation w/backup monitor
Moonroof
All weather floor mats
Bed liner
Brushed stainless steel step boards
Anodized Aluminum Shift knob
Molded Dash Appliqué
Front skid plate
Remote engine start

List is $50227.00

He quoted a sale price of $47000. States he has given me a fair price. Also I’m going for the 0% for 60 months plus the $1000.00 incentive.

Is $46000.00 a fair price for this truck? I seem to think they could do better but not sure. I can get the Toyota extended warranty thrown into the deal as well.

As a side note, I’ve been a loyal GM owner, but the Tundra is one sweet ride.

Also, has a preferred owner’s portfolio listed on the vehicle report as an option installed, but has no price. Anyone know what this is?

I don't want to drag my feet on this to long, but I don't want taken to the cleaners either.

Thanks for the help.
James

I would try to get another 3000 off that price.

Got my 07 Limited DC 5.7 4x2 last week.
Paid 28k + TTL @ 5.35

Leather Heated Seats
Navigation
Bluetooth
Sonar
Backup Camera
20 Inch Alloy
Alloy Running Boards
Bed liner

This was a demo unit with 7.5k miles but still technically an untitled new truck.

You may be able to find an 07 demo like I did and save a few $$$.

Best way to not get taken to the cleaners is to drag your feet. Shop it some even if only online or by phone and make sure you are not several k's off. A few hundred is no big deal when doing a fast check as there may be add ons or options when you get to the final. But if you get prices that are a couple thousand less then it is time to take a second look. Never get to much in a hurry to buy as the sales person may stick it to you. I would not blame him. LOL

Sounds like invoice less the $1k. I don't think that's a bad deal at all. I'm guessing dealers should be extra hot to trot on these trucks though, simply because of lack of demand. I'd look a couple more places before accepting a deal.

I've decided that this is probably not a good deal from my research on the internet that I've done yesterday and today. I think I'll configure a new build the way I want it ,and submit it to all the local dealers for invoice-minus whatever rebates are in affect at that time and see what happens. I've already got my 2005 Chevy Avalanche sold.

I just leased a 2008 CrewMax LTD without Nav and DVD. MSRP was $44,636 and I paid $39k after the $1k rebate. Probably not great but a good deal due to the money factor.

If you leased it you didn't pay anything but the payments for how ever long the lease is and then you don't own it.
